After i hear loads of good things about that place ! I took a trip in this small town in the south of France. The restaurant is really pleasant nice decors and beautifully dress table. We start our tasting menu with two pre starters a black garlic espuma and a foie gras creme brulé. Which were delicious and promessing for the meal to follow. We choose from the menu three differents starters. One foie gras one courgette flower stuffed with langostine and a red snapper . The presentation was really beautiful but i was surprise to see that the garnish were almost the same on two dishes peas and broad beans for foie fras and the flower. So if you do not like those instead of having three others...

Renovating an old mas means lots of trips to builders merchants and suchlike and we found ourselves having to come to Ales for one such appointment the other week. We decided to relieve the tedium of discussing floor and wall tiles and sanitaryware by treating ourselves to a rather nice lunch. After a little research, I happened upon Le Riche and was delighted that they had a table available. The dining room itself is of course a really cool space (and very Covid secure) and might alone 'merite le detour ' as the Michelin Guide would say. a pity because we had loved to make our canteen as we usually say with friends. but not, apart from the bistro spirit sought in the decor, we did not find the soul, the mind the quality of a bistroquet. in the view and I should have listened to the server this gloubi-bulga of tartare prepared, in fact did he not tell us that he himself did not take it at the resto and that say of the black forest not present in the list a I forgot, avoid the table next to the door because you will have the triple penalty, that of being ventilated to wish, percuted by the go and comes incessant and well on bad eating, despite our reservation is said passing by.

Wine card focused on some of the outstanding local wine growers. One of the nicest wine cards in the Gard. Dishes delicious, nice choice of menu's. Very friendly and correct service. Chef Sébastien Rath came by after lunch to have a talk with each of the tables. Restaurant was all booked. For travelers the Hotel and Restaurant is located opposite the railway station. Very nice decorated since the renovation. Acoustics top quality! Menu changes regularly. My entree with Quinoa méditerranéen, feta, tomates sechées et poivrons was delicious. Book a table now

We lunched at Le Riche Restaurant this week it was stunning! The dining room has been completely redecorated with strong, clean lines, jade walls and a fascinating chandelier. Plenty of space between the tables. No view really. We all ordered the menu and we could not fault it. All the dishes were cooked and served with style and full of flavour. Portions adequate, perfect for the older appetite!! An excellent wine list. Varied prices. The Staff were attentive and very helpful. English spoken. Good, clean WC.

This is the type of traditional restaurant that is harder and harder to find. In a formal but comfortable setting, one is warmly received and served well prepared dishes by a professional staff that it not even remotely stuffy. Sunday dinner (noon to 14:00) is a delight both for the meal and the surroundings.

The new Riche restaurant is « finally » something new in this institution of the town! A good cooker, a beautiful place and unfortunately that’s it... The dishes and the wines are not adequate with the spirits of you can attempt when you are seat in this places...
