"No highchair which was a problem with our squirm 2 year old. Food was ok, nothing special. Saute potatoes were very nice, if not a bit greasy. Steak not very nice. Trout was too greasy. Omelette for kids was huge, dry and not very nice. All in all not a great experience."

Perhaps we were expecting too much? But overall we were fairly satisfied with the restaurant. After all we had cold chocolate and Luke warm coffee before hand after our cycle ride from Sarlat. But we not allowed to eat outside ( in case it rained and there were a few dark clouds lurking) and initially were placed in a side room away from the locals. However,as long as you like duck in its many forms ,the menu was quite wide and the helpings were verging on the huge! Service could not be faulted and the costs were very reasonable. It certainly seemed very popular with the locals. And it's convenient with good parking on a busy road.

We're not fluent French speakers, but we try. We went for Sunday lunch and asked about the plat de jour on the board by the door. We got the impression we had to order from the menu. Potage? We didn't have time to think before the staff decided we didn't want any. Menu in French, we took pot luck (and then looked up what we'd eaten when we got home!)The food wasn't bad, pretty reasonable - but not the best or the best value. We felt others around us were getting the meal we wanted.Lovely building, great location - and a lovely monument to Resistance fighters within a hundred yards

We had Sunday lunch. It was busy and the single waitress was at full stretch. The service was a bit slow, and one of the party of four had to wait for dessert until the others had finished theirs, but overall the service was acceptable. The food was hearty and tasty, the portions generous. 80 euros for four, including wines and beers.

we came at 18:45 and they told us that the kitchen will open at ~19:00, we got our first course at 20:00 and last at 22:00we stayed because we ordered a deal of 3 courses and hoped each time that the next course will be good, eventually we couldn't eat anythingmaybe these are good dishes for the local taste but definitely not for us.
