Do not be misled by out of town location opposite casino supermarket. This is a great little place. Jammed with happy locals and hardly a tourist amongst them. Friendly service - pizza excellent but more to menu. Eg prawns cognac with well cooked rice , steaks, lamb nice variety of deserts, - excellent. Great value as aimed square at year round local clientele. The sort of restaurant that all us Brits want to find in France. Ideal for a big group. Fast service. Recommended and I know what I'm talking about! Have owned a house locally for 15 years.
The family who run this small out of village restaurant have been here for years . Easy to park as its not in the village . Small terrace unfortunately now overlooking a rather ugly new building. The food is cheap always fresh and I most use it for take away Pizza which are excellent Good value set lunch and a favorite lunch meeting point for village workers . The staff are helpful and very friendly which is why its still here after many years .
Don't expect anything grand about Le Saint Romain. It's a down-to-the-earth pizzeria that delivers good pizza, dubious red wine (the third glass makes it acceptable), and various other dishes to satisfy an appetite. Nothing grand either about the decor - straightforward and robust. But all in all, a pleasant enough place to grab a bite to eat.
This honest, unpretentious little restaurant just outside Salernes is well worth a visit. I usually have a pizza there as they are extremely good, but yesterday I chose their plat du jour which was perfectly cooked and was delicious. It is extremely good value and the ladies serving are delightful and efficient.

We go here occasionally for the pizza which we find very good. It is not feu de bois, but the crust is thin which is our preference. They are always welcoming. It is possible to sit inside or on their shady terrace which is great in summer.
If you want a quick meal with decent pizza this is great. It's not fancy you are in and out but the pizza is very nice. Has a good choice of unusual pizzas if you want to try something new.
Good pizzas - in particular the vegetarian. We have been twice because our friends who have a house in salerne go every saturday. Unpretentious, average cooking - ok no surprises.
Le Saint Romain was just 10 steps away from our hotel and we decided to give it a try for lunch.
