I went for lunch on an overcast day, and ate at a table near the entrance rather than on the terrace in the square outside, as it was rather windy. Saint-Verand is a pretty village in the southern Beaujolais, overlooking the Azergues Valley. Le Saint-Vincent offered a set lunch menu for 15 euros, with 3 choices for the first course, 2 for the main, and a wide selection of desserts. My salade aux lardons came with lettuce, hard boiled eggs, tomato and freshly fried bacon cubes, delicious.
