We have wanted to see how the new ownership at Le Sechoir has done for some time. We waited a bit to let them settle in, but now I'm wondering why we bothered. The basic formula is a set menu for 14 Euros, including coffee and wine, which is a great bargain in the Dordogne. You enter in to the small place, around 10 tables. First course is the "buffet au volonte", where you serve yourself, salad bar style. Several options, ranging from lettuce leaves, to various tinned fish (sardines, trout, etc) to a mayonnaise bean salad that we felt was from a jar, to pasta salad. Very short on actual fresh veg, but I enjoyed it due to my love of smoked and otherwise preserved fish.Table is set with a nic...
