Dinner for 2. The restaurant was empty when we arrived but we had booked, just in case. A charming place with traditional décor and a lovely owner who could spend time with us as it was so quiet. We opted for 4 entrées rather than main courses and they were cooked by the owner's wife, both of whom are Cambodian. All dishes were very generous in size and the flavours were absolutely amazing. We declared this the best restaurant Chinese food that we have ever eaten. We went back the following evening but alas, they were closed. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its excellent food that has a definite Cambodian and Vietnamese twist to it.
Can’t imagine anyone able to give this five stars! Poor service one person slowly waiting tables on his own while taking take away orders. We waited half an hour just to be asked what we wanted and we were the first there. Another 40 minutes for the food and it was seafood so not a lot of cooking either. Then to top it off it was dreadfully watery and salty .. what a waste of our time. The decor was interesting with cute plastic flowers so gave it two stars for that.
It always interests me how Chinese food varies so much from country to country.Anyway, it was lovely to enjoy something different.We enjoyed the soups, and some salt and pepper squid. The Sichuan prawns were a little disappointing. Not spicey at all.The seafood fried rice was great.The owner was very helpful and speaks several languages including English.We would go back again.
Restaurant très joli, service agréable, mais... les saveurs dans l'assiette n'y sont pas.Une soupe crabe et asperge (un classique) où l'on cherche les morceaux de crabe (quasi inexistants) sans saveur, des raviolis vapeurs moyens, des nouilles sautées sans surprise, bref, peu de sensation gustative.Nous avons été déçus, sans plus quoi.

Après avoir pousser les portes du Shanghai, je me suis senti en ex-RDA. La moquette sur les murs, les wc indescriptibles, des toiles d'araignées et de la moisissure le long du lambris. Le décor est planté.Quantité, pas terrible; qualité, pas top; prix salé.Si je dois voyager de nouveau, je ne retournerai pas au Shanghai.
Un accueil chaleureux, une cuisine excellente, calme et tranquille, des saveurs qui titillent les papilles. Allez-y en toute confiance vous ne serez pas déçu. Bon rapport qualité prix.
On a attendu 45 mns avant de recevoir notre plat (canard au curry) très très salé à la limite du mangeable et qui ressemblait à n'importe quel traiteur asiatique de base. A fuir.
