"If you are seeking something different for a change then you will have found it here. You have a wide range of crepes to choose from and will probably find something to your taste. So long as the euro is at 70p you won't complain...that you've been overcharged. A pleasant alternative and a special treat for children."

Beautiful small place, guided by a man and woman, just a few minutes walk from the Ramparts. Many parking spaces nearby (and all parking spaces in Saint Lo are free! in the General deGaulle Square. We sat outside on the deck, which is slightly above the street, under a awning, shaded by the sun. For an aperitif, if you are not the driver, try the Flûte Normande cidre with Cassis and Calvados. Le Toucan is a restaurant with gallets (precious pancakes and crèpes (sweet pancakes as a specialty). If you could go in you think that you are in a cozy Irish pub (which is partly true: they serve guinness and have Celtic names on the menu. The gallets are very tasty and look like art pieces. I had a St. Jacques Galette; very original, good combination with cloth and cheese. The leek overwhelmed the Coquilles St. Jacques a little. The Crèpe St. Valéry (No, not all have the names of the saints... was...

We stumbled upon Le Toucan by accident on a rainy day. We found a warm cozy atmosphere inside, welcomed even with children in tow. We had great savory crepes and kids' meals (that included savory and sweet crepes). Great fast service! The waitress took time...to explain what some of the ingredients were, which is always a plus since we don't speak much French.

A picturesque small family style Creperie in the pedestrian area of St. Lo. Woodsy and pleasant decoration. It's a man and a woman and they do a great job to take care of their guests. We wanted a quick meal, but no pizza or Mac, and that was just the right choice. Beautiful crisp crepes are perfectly prepared. A nice meal. ...
