Le Tournesol - Table reservation

At the suggestion of the tasting steward at Delas who kindly made an on the spot reservation for us we crossed the Rhone to Tournon (walkable if not in a rush as we were) to Le Tournesol where we had one of the best meals in our 2 weeks in France which included a whole host of Mich stars. Tastefully modernized ancient space. Patient gracious service. Well-priced and well-chosen winelist. Dishes were super. Despite enough platey architecture to please the Michelins the aromas, flavors, and textures of the high quality products spoke in volume rather than the all too common experience of evisceration of the carefully curated product for the sake of pretty plating so necessary for stars and ins...

Le Tournesol is located close to center of small town of Tournon-sur-Rhone. It has both Oriental decoration and some Oriental tastes in the menu. The food was very nicely presented and full of taste. The wine list was extensive. and the service was smooth and professional. Strong recommendation.

This is a great restaurant! Limited menu but superbly done. Wine also great. Cheese a high point. Normally, in France, you get 250 g of cheese when you are already full. Here, maybe 75g but brilliantly presented. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and very friendly service again in this nice restaurant in Tournon. I had lunch here few months ago and came back, loved it again. Very attentive with food intolerance. Excellent crispy pork, tuna starter, merluza.

A nice restaurant, lovely friendly staff The menu was interesting but flavours in some dishes were not to my taste.
