we are so grateful for the locals who have led us to this licensed restaurant on the main square in hendaye. the owners sat us, although it was almost closing time. the menu of the day starter and for 13.50 euro was decomposable. starter inlcuded cream. the artichoke soup, with pesto and fresh salat green with spicy, sweet-sour huh. we had both the skrumbling, perfectly grilled white fish called sar (like seabread,) which was balanced out on a series of kreatiw prepared vegetables - among them some tangy, light green seatang. the restaurant facade and the decor can be inconceivable, but the kitchen that serve the charming and talented owners is anything but. this wonderful culinary experienc...
Had lunch here on the recommendation of our Airbnb host. Had fixed price lunch of starters and mains with very drinkable house wine. Creative sushi and ham starter for one, tasty broccoli soup for the other and the mains were côté de veau for both...of us. Charming and helpful service and altogether great value for food of high standard.
we were looking for a place to dinate and when we saw this restaurant, we could not guess what it looks on the outside, it is much better ambiente once inside. we took some time to get in and almost left! I am glad we didn't. very. good calzone, delicious chocolate cake and super beautiful hotel and staff!
had here with my wife in 2017 lunch... happy to return to dinner yesterday evening! gentleman host was gracious and attentive to all his guests. place was packed on a Tuesday night, so no coincidence! that is an excellent place!
