In any case, the quality was well present. The kitchen goes beyond the beaten paths with some originalities like an algae sorbet served with a hot dish for example. The desserts are very good. Service is good. The dishes were served fairly quickly and we take the time to explain the dishes. It was just a little frequent passage to serve us wine. The frame is good. I dined here as part of a group of 7, and the whole experience was really excellent. The food combinations and flavours and textures were really well thought through and assembled, down to small details like pouring sauces at the table so the textures were crisp where they were planned to be. Every dish choice was excellent. The wine was lovely, although for the overall standard of the restaurant I’m surprised it wasn’t more extensive. The staff were very friendly, patient with us when we were delayed on arrival and helped with organising taxis the next day, plus very professional in their table service.
We discovered this restaurant by chance. It is in a small side street close to the marina. The crowd is mostly local and the atmosphere quiet and relaxed. Tables are very well presented and the limited menu focuses on seafood. Delicious fish carpaccio with a blend of herbs, excellent cod and ray fish with seasonal vegetables. Leave some space for wonderful desserts such as a fresh fruit salad and ginger ice cream or a very light lemon mousse on a salted butter biscuit ! The owner has a wine shop next door so you can be sure that the wine list is well selected. A wonderful dinner experience in Lorient !
I would say that french food is always a good bet and would never let us down. Once again, I was right! Very good service, attentive, proactive and with good food suggestion. We chose the 31€ menu which is very well served (good portions . It was very hard to decide from the menu once all the dishes on the other tables looked delicious. Oysters in Bretagne are, again, a good bet as well as fresh fish. Very quiete ambience but not sleepy! Good for dinners with the soulmate :

We have just had a fabulous meal at Le Yachtman. The service is friendly and attentive. We had a round table for four in charming and elegant surroundings. Although we only had the set lunch, well priced, there was great attention to detail in each dish. Simple ingredients, nicely presented, with delicious taste combinations. Also good wine by the glass. All in all, thoroughly to be recommended.
We had the basic set price menu, and while not cheap it was reasonably priced. The fish soup and marinated sardines starters were lovely, and we all enjoyed the mains. The Rhubarb tarte for desert was actually fantastic, and I appreciated the friendly staff who supported us in navigating the menu despite not being fluent in English. We would go again
