Pretty tasty food, but unreasonably overpriced. Paid $29 for the fettuccini frutti del mar, it had 8 small clams, 5 small pieces of calamari and 2 prawns total. Didn 't really feel like the fruit of the sea . Also, $7 beers? Paid $125 for two people for an appetizer, two entrees and four beers plus tip. That included the 3.65% service charge ?? What is a service charge? Apparently it is 100% retained by Leader Block according to the receipt. Seems like your $7 price for a beer already has a service charge built in. I 've been to the Leader Block several times; I consider myself a foodie; and I 'm employed in the customer service field I think I know what good service and food looks like. And the Leader Block (LB delivers. Maybe service was a little slower one night due to a crowd, but it wasn 't bad service simply slower. That won 't change my 5 star rating. EVERY business is struggling to find enough employees that will actually SHOW UP. The food at the LB is very goodand rates with the best of Whatcom County. The service is polite and personable. And cocktails are quite flavorful too. PLEASE hurry up and open back up! I 'm craving the Salmon Real and your lemon drops :
Is it the most expensive place I've eaten at in Ferndale, yes obviously. Is it the best place to get fancy food I've ever had in Whatcom County? Yes, obviously. Just polished off their wagu beef special today and it was some of the most perfectly cooked cut of meat I've ever had with the most delightful pillow of potatoes. While the capese salad breathed life into my tired bones. Do come, it is worth the time.
this is my new favorite restaurant just about a mile from my house the best Italian I had in the old. they are now open for covid. I have just opened an outdoor seating area so there are some restaurants in front of location that have delicious food and wine. they have wonderful owners and friendly staff. if they live near Ferndale, check them and support them when they can. Had a few things. We got Bruschetta, I got the Bucatini Putanesca Gamberoni, and my friend got the Ribeye. The service was excellent (especially for a small town). All the food was delicious, steak was perfectly cooked, mine had plenty of prawns. The noodles were local, fresh and very good. I'm not sure anything would have improved the experience.

Great place for an excellent meal. Food is very good, service is above and beyond, atmosphere is very nice . If you want to relax and have a great meal, this is the place. Flatbread Caprese appetizer, Prime Rib, Lasagna.
1st time there and won't be the last! Enjoyed it from top to bottom, menu was impressive as was the service (Roberto is a star). Nice to know there is a quality dining option so close to home, we'll be back for sure. Book a table now
It was an amazing experience from start to finish. The staff is nice and the food... OMG... it's worth every penny and the portions are perfect size! 10!!!
