Lebenesse Taverna A lovely restaurant space with a vaulted curved high ceiling, nicely furnished and finished, airy and comfortable. Prompt friendly service follows smoothly, but with no pressure at all. (We were awaiting a 4th person who we ultimately did take away for this was neither an issue or problem, and demonstrates a dynamic approach to customer service from Mustafa our server) The humus with lamb shawarma, baba ganoush and the arnabeet; cauliflower chickpeas, tahini and pine nuts starters was delicious and with hot pitta and oil a substantial starter. The chicken shawarma sandwich with salad was delicious, the chicken was marinated and in a lovely sauce. The chicken curry was mild...

It's the service for me, the vibe and the energy I had just left a really stressful place and as soon as I walked in the restaurant the aura calmed me all the way down. Two staff walked up greeted me and I felt welcomed and nurtured. The environment was very clean and it was absolutely gorgeous in the restaurant. I loved the lighting the white table clothes I was really impressed I want to have a dinner party or any type of celebration there. The food was excellent also.
We ate a delicious dinner at the Lebanese Taverna after a long day at the zoo. The service was great and everything we tried was perfectly cooked and flavored. We had our 3 year old with us and she enjoyed coloring on the kids? menus with the crayons they provided. The bathrooms were bright and clean plus there was an area of sinks for hand washing. There was a nice variety of cocktails and beers including non alcoholic of both. You could eat at tables outside or indoors
Last night was the second time we ate at Lebanese Taverna in DC. The food is outstanding. I ordered lamb shish kebab, the waiter asked me how I wanted the lamb cooked and I said medium rare. Well, the lamb came out well done. I mentioned it to the waiter and in a bothered manner he just said 'Well I asked for medium rare '. He didn 't seem to care. Otherwise, everything was delicious and we will return. Book a table now

Delicious food! Started off with their a chicken samosas (3 per order) that came with a great yogurt sauce. The samosas themselves were cooked really well and we're not dried out which was really nice. For lunch I ordered the Mehshi eggplant, zucchini roll dish. It was perfect I'll be back again for sure
Ordered a taverna platter with shawarma (lamb) and it was a lovely combination of rice, salad, lamb, and hummus. The free bread is beautiful and light/fluffy. Prices are reasonable and plenty of space indoors and outdoors. We even were able to stay until after closing to just chat.
The hommus and Baba Ghannouge were excellent! I had a favorite in Chicago and now I’ve finally found one as great here in Silver Spring Maryland. The pick your platter was the perfect option for me, it was about three meals worth of food! Very impressed with quality and quantity! Book a table now
