Came through to Cockermouth from Keswick to see the Christmas lights, my husband told me how good this was so we decided to stop and get food ... what a great choice, me and the hubby both had the meat patty, chips and gravy, the...kids had sausage chips and gravy. Food was delicious, fresh and the gravy is amazing, the place is so clean you could eat off the floor. Will definitely be back and maybe try something from the Chinese menu. X
have visited this take away for years and as always was exceptional. Last time I visited, I was not too happy with my meal, but there was another visit tonight and was again very disappointed,myhun broccoli in black bon sauce was tasteless. bland ,plain chow my was dry, my man had special foo yung that I know is a dry dish, but that was extremely dry and retasteless. I won't try again. very disappointing.
Staying in Cockermouth and needed takeaway for the family. Spotted Lee’s on the internet and the combination of a Chinese chippy looked ideal. Called in and was served by friendly people. Order for people took about mins. Food was excellent and just what...a hungry family needed after a hard day’s walking in the Lake District
The Staff are really good but it's been taken over. The quality of the food has dropped significantly and as for the taste it has also gone. I am really disappointed and don't like to give negative feedback. I hope the new owners up there...game soon because I do want the new owners to succeed in there new venture. Book a table now
we have taken these Chinese for years, she has always been really good. we knew it had changed the owners recently and that was our first order. it was terrible, tasteless curry, oily teigreis, which seemed like a brick coming out of the container! Unfortunately, it was so bad that we didn't use it again.
Ordered a large fish as I wasn’t having chips. Fish came with chips, wasn’t any bigger than any of the other fishes and was dried up, only just warm and rubbery. Clearly been sat under the lights for a very long time. Won’t be going...back.
Nice food. Reasonably priced. Fish and chips, and pie dinner was nice, fried rive was a little under done, but we enjoyed it. Was very busy and we got quick service.
Visiting and as most restaurants were closed or booked we decided to give this a go. Food was nicely flavoured. Decent portion sizes. Friendly staff. Recommended Book a table now
absolutely the worst. dry tasteless bark was missing its sosty. chicken dish was bland and tasteless and it was like warm. just terrible!
