Our birthday party of 10 had dinner at the Chestnut Hill Davios on Monday. It was a quiet night at the restaurant, and they made a lovely party for us. First, the room. The restaurant is on the second floor so feels bright and airy. The table is steakhouse-proper, good white linens, glasses and silver. After we sat down baskets of big popovers came, plenty for everyone, with butter. It is a solid steakhouse menu, To start the kitchen split a Caesar for my husband and me, and correctly gave me all the silver anchovies. The menu is broad. We were told we could not have a table because the server there was new and they didn 't want to overwork them. When we were seated at a different table nearby we waited for a very long time until we finally asked one of the many servers passing by if we could get service. The service was awkward and not up to this restaurant 's level. Everything else was tasty as we expect when we visit Legal, as we have done for decades. Be careful your reputation is compared to your history.
Good spot. Pretty big dining area with more expansive seating in the back along the windows. Service was what you'd hope for a higher-end steakhouse. Strip steak was good. Calamari is also very good, especially with the aioli. Large menu options for food and an enormous and diverse wine list.
While waiting to catch a movie, I stopped in for a quick beer and some snacks. I tried the chicken sliders, which you can see in my photo! I thought they were quite tasty, and the beer selection was above average!

There are many restaurants in this area that serve clam chowder, but I must say, the one here is truly outstanding! They also have an oyster festival happening, so now is the perfect time to pay a visit!
Crab roll looked great but had no taste-shells too. Disappointed. We eat at many of the LSF locations and the food across the board is not as good as it used to be.
As always, delicious food, responsive staff. Prices steeper than expected but portions were good and quality outstanding. Overall, great experience.
