Sandwich was juicy and the fries and cheesecake very good. The sandwich was drowned in a creamy sauce (total napkin fest). I recommend asking for less or a side very messy. It was 830ish when I arrived and working all day, I wanted to sit and eat. They closed at 10. No luck an insolent, rude teen informed me she needed 1.5 hours to mop and sweep the store so she could leave. This was beyond obnoxious. Most of the store front is a narrow corridor in front of the check out counter. I could have swept and mopped the whole...
Maybe it was the racist vibes that I received walking thru the door, but the food was mediocre at best. Everyone that worked there was looking at me like I had three heads. The guy cooking the food even let out a loud sigh when I placed my order. I guess they don 't get a lot of black customers... The lady taking my order wasn 't mean, but I didn 't get the friendly welcoming that the other non black customers received. She didn 't even give me utensils or napkins. I would not spend my money here again. The racist vibes made me extremely uncomfortable. I ordered the catfish over rice with extra white sauce. It wasn 't as good as other halal spots that I 've been to.
Regarding the atmosphere, I wish people would stop comparing this place to New York City. We're in the Northeast United States, and the food in Baltimore is very similar to what you’d find in NYC. On the West Coast, you don’t hear Los Angeles folks comparing their cuisine to Las Vegas. If you want to see what I mean, check out the show "Master Chef: United Taste of America" on Fox.
I've also noticed some comments about racial tension and negative vibes in the restaurant, but when I visit, everyone seems friendly. I believe that any perceived tension is more in people's heads than a reflection of reality. By the way, I’m curious if they can make a chopped cheese.
Visiting from Chicago having had a variety of Halal places like this, I have got hands down say this place is unique and packed with flavor. Got the combination platter to go, Also once had it in the store. I love the way the meat and chicken is cut in small cube like parts and the mix of the salad and the rice is excellent. Did like in the store when the sauces were already on top. The red spice sauce is extremely spicy, something great if you are having a runny nose and want to clear your sinuses.

This was once a restaurant where the food was both delicious and served in generous portions that really filled you up. However, I've noticed they've recently reduced the portion sizes (I thought my first experience was just a one-off). Not only are the portions smaller now, but the food has also lost its flavor and is rather bland. I’m disappointed and won't be returning. I would prefer to find another halal restaurant that offers better food.
I've experienced this issue four times now: they charge me extra for corn, even though it's supposed to be included with the $9 chicken and rice. I understand that they want to maximize their profits—rice is quite inexpensive when purchased in bulk, and at $9 for the chicken and salad, they are already making a decent profit. However, the portion sizes aren't very generous either.
I haven't had anything bad from this place. The platters are delicious, and the chicken and waffles taste amazing. My aunt loves the cheeseburgers because they are huge for their size. The customer service is great the owner is always pleasant and
You will never go wrong with chicken over rice here! Try it with cilantro and white sauces and one line only of hot sauce. They used to serve toasted/fried bread with the chicken over rice, but not any more.

Visiting from Chicago and never tried.. the smell sold me alone the flavors was a bonus will be returning next time I’m in the area! Appreciate everyone that was working and the fresh chicken!
First time at this place and def two thumbs up. I got the gyro and chicken platter. It was put together in a matter of minutes and was freaking delicious. It was a lot of quality food for $9.
