There’s no place like Secthoe for a delicious cheese toastie. It’s a fantastic little spot to grab a warm snack. They offer a variety of cheeses along with some delightful local treats, as well as a few options from further afield. The fresh eggs and chutneys are always a favorite of ours. There’s plenty of parking available, and you might even meet some sheep and cows nearby. The outdoor seating is lovely in the summer, but there are also plenty of indoor seats for cooler weather.
I only discovered this place today thanks to a recommendation from a friend. I can hardly believe it has been here for over ten years and I didn’t know about it until now. There’s something truly special about using local products, and the cheese here is fantastic. Sure, you can buy cheap cheese at any supermarket, but these locally sourced specialty cheeses have a depth and character that you won’t find in the bargain aisle. I absolutely love it!
The wait time was short even when the café was busy, which was impressive. The hotel is situated in a beautifully modernized wooden barn, making for a charming setting. The cheese served here is excellent, and the café itself is lovely, with friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere. Overall, a fantastic experience!
excellent quality local products. good variety and good value. also a great place to visit. we stopped and had a cheese resolving in their beautiful little caffe and saw the slumbers play in their fields. it was very peaceful and pleasant. highly recommended! Book a table now
