I visited Lela’s for happy hour with a larger group, and they were great at accommodating us all. I ordered a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, but when I tasted it, it didn’t seem right. I tried to drink it anyway, but my loyalty to NZ SBs kicked in. Eventually, I had to mention it to the server, and it turned out they had given me a California SB because they were out of the one I ordered. I really appreciated that they offered me a glass of one of their finest white Burgundies as a replacement and didn’t charge me for it, but I wish they had been upfront about the original substitution. Had a reservation, but there was no one to check us in. After standing for 20 minutes, a waitress came and was looking for the hostess who is supposed to welcome guests. He left, came back to tell us there were no free tables, then left. He then came back and took us to a table by the wall where we had to wait 20 minutes before someone finally noticed us.
We had a wonderful time with friends, savoring expertly crafted drinks made by Christopher and delightful desserts prepared by Sammy. The atmosphere was exceptional, and the service was both outstanding and quick. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to have a memorable evening filled with great company and cocktails!
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was wonderful. Although the waitress we had wasn't very pleasant, we still enjoyed a great date night.
