My partner, I and mother in law were looking for somewhere to eat in Caen for our first night. We searched for somewhere on trip advisor that served traditional french food, and allowed online booking, and we’re pleased that L’Embroche came up! Located nicely in...a little food quarter near the chateaux, within easy walk of the towns facilities. You could walk by the entry to the square if you’re not watching where you’re going, so just plug it into your map app and follow. Enjoyed a great meal with great service at L'embroche last week while on a business trip. There was a dozen of us and even on a busy Friday evening they were rolling. A well seasoned staff in front of house as well as in...the small kitchen. Enjoyed the foie gras appetizer followed by the beef tartare. Also sampled some of my colleagues meals as we all shared outstanding. Would not hesitate to recommend l'embroche.

I had the catch of the day (cabilloud) in a langoustine cream sauce, and my daughters had braised lamb shank and cuisse de canard. All were delicious and well-presented. The menu was bilingual, so no risk of not entirely understanding what we were getting. The...wine selection was good, though not large and the puddings were great too. The service was relaxed and genial. All in all a great restaurant experience.

A local man recommended this restaurant, so we went there for dinner. The food was really good, especially the rabbit pate and the pasta. The owner was really nice, but the waitress was not. All in all a nice experience, and we would recommend it.
