My friends and I had dinner at this restaurant on a Tuesday evening and we were very impressed with the food. The service was quick and friendly. The Thai Green Curry was especially delicious, even better than what I've had in Thailand. We shared four main dishes and rice among the four of us, and there was plenty of food. They even offer a takeout option if you have leftovers. The Spring Rolls we had as an appetizer were also very tasty. This was our first time dining at Lemongrass, as we usually go to Italian restaurants in Lygon St, but we were pleasantly surprised and would definitely come back again.
Sure Thai takeaway is nice and comforting, but then you have this food which is a whole different experience. Absolutely amazing food, clearly cooked with a lot of love and skills. We got some sort of mixed platter as a starter which was like nothing...I’ve ever had in a Thai restaurant before. Beautifully presented with plenty of flavour. Staff are polite and attentive, good selection of wines. One of our favourite spots in Melbourne!
Looking at some of the beautiful old architecture around Carlton and decided to have lunch in Lygon street as we were at the Southern end, and not feeling like Italian, the menu at the Lemongrass looked good. Red chicken and Beef Massaman curries were...the orders and were delights to remember real Thai food ! Service was good, prices reasonable and friendly staff, in all a lovely lunch experience.
Dropped in for a quick lunch. Thai fish cakes were excellent and not at all rubbery as is the case with many places. Then the seafood laksa...probably the best I’ve had in the country!!! And service was efficient and friendly.
