There was a time a few years back when L’Emulsion was not my favourite restaurant. At that time there was far too much ‘espuma’ foam for my liking even though this was kind of self evident from the name. All that changed last night when we had a splendid four course meal at €56 per person accompanied by an excellent Condrieu which I noticed had barely a two fold mark up on the standard retail price. The novelty value of the food is there, for example, in the entrée the juxtaposition between foie gras, green vegetable bed and cardamom sauce was surprising; The veal and accompaniment worked together splendidly and everything was cooked to a T; The deliciously concentrated flavours of chocolate...
We requested to change our seats, while the restaurant was empty, the lady asked us why in a very aggressive manner, when we told her that we wanted to sit by the window, she asked us if it was to see the street! The cutlery was dirty and we received the first dish with a hair, the second one was a very smelly trout, the dishes were served by different chefs who had black nails and the last chef that gave us deserts had several warts on his fingers and hand!

Thought we were going to a 1 Michelin star restaurant. The food kept up to the standard, but the service ruined our experience. The servers seemed inexperienced, where dressed like they were out on the beach with their friends. It’s a shame, it was a lovely afternoon, we drove far but the service left us unsatisfied and made the culinary experience quite forgettable.

We spent an excellent evening: a beautiful journey of flavors, wines chosen with perfect accompaniment, service performed by young apprentices very kind, delighted to share their passion. The chief served us his dessert himself. Bravo! I strongly recommend
Very nice address, We tasted the Emulsion menu served on the weekend, we enjoyed ourselves... it’s almost perfect... it’s just a little warm...
Very badly received what has cooled us directly and too many flavors we had 7 dishes the rates are still high enough to try to discover yet
