Les Alizes - Table reservation

We arrived in Roscoff in the middle of vile weather, high winds and horizontal soaking rain to catch an early morning ferry the next day. We anticipated a miserable evening. We decided that rather than walk around in search of a restaurant we would take the car. A mere 500 meters from our hotel Les Alizes was lit up invitingly and fortunately had a parking space right outside. Although it was not quite opening time (7pm) the door was open and we were warmly welcomed out of the appalling weather. We had no idea what to expect food wise, but oh what a lovely surprise was in store for us. Pleasant and comfortable, staff friendly. We enjoyed our get together. We stayed a long time: 3 hours. My food: fois gras: the fois gras was very good, however the bread that came with it was stale instead of toasted, that was a shame( I mentioned this at the time I paid). I had as main meal the burger, I could not finish it, the incentive was not there, I had to try the burger as it was with mushrooms, but sadly I was disappointed, onions are better( my preference), but in all fairness the burger was fresh. For the desert I had the coffee tentation and that was very enjoyable. My family enjoyed what they had. I would still go again because the atmosphere is there, but I would not wait till...

We came upon this place by chance when looking for somewhere for dinner quite late in the evening and they were able to accommodate us. We had a very enjoyable meal. My partner's marmite was a tasty bowl of sea food and vegetables in a hot creamy broth. The varied ingredients all tasted very fresh. I had a dish of yellow pollock which also came with a good vegetable accompaniment and was in a light broth. We ate outside but there was also the option of upstairs indoors overlooking the harbour.

Stumbled into here after we cancelled a reservation at another restaurant that frankly, looked dead! This was anything but. Lot of people in there and the food and wine were very good. Similarly, the service was friendly and efficient and based on my visit, no problems recommending this place at all.

We had supper with some friends who stay in Roscoff, the meal and service were excellent. I chose the Fish of the day and was succulent and served in a very flavourful sauce. Will hi again
