"After a day by the sea, we chose Molles original style, seawater and white wine. They made it perfect and the shells were so big that I couldn't finish my fries. My wife's salad was superior. That was a pleasure"

I visited Valras some four months ago and we settled on this restaurant. I left a review of my experience back then, so decided I'd do the same on my second visit. We visited at the end of September which is out of season so thankfully it was quiet, meaning that we got to sit where we liked. Once again we chose to sit outdoors in the marquee with no fuss at all. The waitress was so friendly. She was the same lady we had been served by when we last visited, although she didn't remember, so it was good to see that she was still as welcoming, chatty and warm. It started to get busier over the next half an hour. I looked around and noticed that none of the other restaurants were that busy. They...

Cheap food, disgusting. 21 years after Valras, beautiful city, once at a time this was a cheap and cheerful restaurant, now it is simply cheap. A local dish Tartaflette du Poissons, had no poisons (Fish maybe 1oz if you fish in it go into the Auberge. Otherwise it's a potato tartaflette. Seriously, my wife's court came with frits (chips, these came as the burned black bits you find at the end of a deep fat freer. Black, burn to a cripple, unusable. When she raised it with the manager, he argued that it was 'frites de maison' (what a house speciality' and insulted her so much, she was in tears. He took the dish away, and around his point, took half an hour to bring it back, then hit the plate...

On a cool evening in mid-June we visited Les Arvernes on the Allée De Gaulle pedestrian zone in the heart of Valras-Plage. Our party of three divided between Moule with Lardons, Moule in a Roquefort sauce and the meal where the main course was cod. Of the three moules were super, as would be expected from a resort with a large fresh fish market, although the cod was small and disappointing. A starter from Gambia’s Soufflés for 12.80€ was particularly delicious (photo). We found the house rosé wine very acceptable at 7.10€ for a 50cl pichet. Service is very good and waiters are friendly. Recommended.

We had a really wonderful lunch here at this delightful eatery in Valras. The staff are so kind and the food is truly delicious. We had a variety of mussels, pasta and seafood. Must come back to try to fish soup! Highly recommend stopping at this fab place we biked here from Le Serignan Plage Yelloh Village. Makes for a great day out.
