This is a charming and tastefully decorated restaurant on the square in Plougasnou. It's fairly small so may be advisable to book.We were so impressed that having had lunch there on the Tuesday we returned on Saturday for dinner. The lunch was on a fixed price menu, the highlight of which were the beautifully presented prawn starters which looked and tasted as though they had been caught half an hour before we arrived. Delicious! Even with wine, we only paid around 74 Euros for four three course meals, so great value.Dinner highlights were the main course lamb on the bone and the duck - both perfectly presented and cooked. Not to mention the six oyster starter, as good as any I've eaten. Thi...

This restaurant can certainly prepare good dishes but our wasn't a success. Pasta with St Jacques, despite its good quality claimed by the restaurant, was significantly overcooked and largely was missing salt / other spices. It was impossible to catch up for it adding salt or anything else afterwards despite our efforts. It's a pity as St Jacques in the pasta were good. The reason was probably that (if I'm not wrong) the same person was the cook and the waiter. My conclusion: if you want to visit this place off season and in the middle of the week, when there are not so many customers, go for a menu which was certainly prepared in advance rather than for something à la carte.

After the market in the square, it was the place to go for lunch. Attentive service and good food prompted us to book for dinner on Saturday. This family run restaurant was popular in the evening. The table d'hote gave reasonable choice and good helpings. Fresh fish and a huge lamb shank followed by a trio of isles flottant. It was as well the cottage was within walking distance.
