We came here for the food as we had seen recipes from a book that originated here and the food is well prepared, quality ingredients and cooked well. Let's deal with the service first as it can set you off on the wrong foot, put bluntly the front of house is like being greeted by a Parisian waiter, we felt they were so well booked there was no need to be so nice. So that aside, to the food.... We took an amazing terrine and an even more amazing pressé. Beautiful restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. The food was delicious and there were plenty of options to choose from. The staff were all really friendly which made our experience even better, they were more than happy to recommend different wines to go with our meals and answered any questions we had about the menu. We would all love to come back to stay in the hotel and eat in the restaurant again!

It is great food with a nice choice. If you take one of the daily menus price/quality wise it’s an excellent option. Portions are good size, you won’t go hungry. So beware with the starter, much more will follow. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food/drinks.

If in the area, you must book and eat at in the restaurant, it is superb! Fantastic friendly service, immaculate in presentation, beautiful menus and delicious food. Would highly recommend. Avalanche red wine my new favourite! Best creme caramel too!

Amazing restaurant the son took over the restaurant in memory of his father and he is doing an amazing job! Food is delicious and service very warm
