The place is of sumptuous beauty. I loved this very technical golf course, not easy but very beautiful. The hotel is mainly spa-oriented so there were very few people on the course and we had a great time in this green, beautifully wooded countryside. Even if the greens are not perfect (it seems that the golf course is being redeveloped), they are technical and present interesting difficulties. In short, I LOVED it! The hotel is also undergoing a little facelift. The upper floors have already been redone and little by little, all the rooms will be brought up to date. Our bathroom was a little dated, the carpet was no longer trendy and the balcony paint was peeling, the bed on the other hand...
ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATING !!! Used to be an absolutely fantastic, wonderful, pretty and picturesque 18 hole golf course ! TRAGICALLY reduced to a pitiful, uncared, unplayable '9 ' hole course !!! Played there many times over the years and used to boast to friends how lucky I was. UNFORTUNATELY no longer. If you 're a half serious golfer ....Forget IT ! They even have the Gaul to still charge top money for it. I personally will never go there again unless it MASSIVELY changes, which I unfortunately never see happening. They have drastically mismanaged this place and tried to concentrate on the Hotel and Restaurant side !!! IMO ....A BIG MISTAKE ? Should have concentrated on the course first and...
Dreadful greens, bunkers full of weeds and tees with more sand than grass. Accepting that it's been dry for weeks but that doesn't stop greenstaff working hard to maintain certain levels. There are much better condition courses within an hour. Try Porcelaine near Limoges and Sainte Agathe at Montlucon. Maybe we should have been offered a discount for the poor condition?
Another beautiful ancient hotel that France has to offer! Also stayed here during the Tour de France with 2 other teams. Very large hotel with spa but we didn’t have time to visit, a pity!!
