Nous avons du pâté en attente, on demande ce qu’est une des boissons, la vieille serveuse qui sert ne répond à peine, on essaie de lui parler elle tourne très vite les talons. Puis commandons notre repas…..une viande bleue une saignante et une bien cuite. At noon we found a table four times after 5 minutes. All other tables were hosts of the French families for their lunch and there was a comfortable conversation about the dining room. We ordered our main courses (Brussels, chicken bread and chicken in a cream sauce from a short menu and waited while our food was prepared. Drinks were served immediately and then a pate/toast/beetroot plate in Chicory leaves/beef dripping(! as starter. We didn't realize this was coming, but it was a nice aperitif. We had just finished our tour through the Dunkirk Museum and went to the city for lunch. We chose this place because he had good reviews on TripAdvisor. We weren't disappointed, but almost lost because of our time. The guard had to ask the cook if we could be served as it was near 2:30 and closed at 3:00. Once sitting, we experienced one of our best meals in France. My wife ordered the shrimp and I ordered the beef cabobs. Both were excellent, but the grilled shrimps had a taste that was unforgettable. Both came with potatoes and a salad that was also delicious. Great place with fine food and excellent service.
