"You have to go here! Outsider it looks like another touristic cabane. But that is not true. Great food, creative, fresh and delicious. Maybe it is the female chef’s touch!"

We had a great lunch here, and the atmosphere is lovely. You can chose to sit on the front verandah or the back verandah, and they both have views of the canals. The staff are very friendly and efficient, they speak both French and English. They have a great wine list, and we went for the recommended Chablis, which was excellent. It is very well priced, and the Gazpacho with seafood was excellent, as well as the grilled calamari and seafood ravioli. We shared the trifle for dessert, and it was delicious. Best food in Ile d'Oleron and most of France. Very impressed with the cooking!

Very nice atmosphere overlooking water bassins. Very friendly and attentive staff. Food has been presented in a very nice way, the eye has had a lot of joy, too. Food quality was excellent. Children menu was fully accepted by the kids and completely eaten a rather seldom experience... Wine selection was accompanying the menu very well. Not cheap, but worth every cent. A clear recommendation! And: reservation is a good idea!

The rating is partly influenced by the restaurant’s location and the friendliness of the staff. The food is fresh, the menu very limited (communicating vessels), and prepared to high standards. Even better than the food is probably the location, along the old oyster port of the town, with terraces facing front and rear. For us it is and will remain the place to go to when we are on the island.
