The food was fresh gruyere from the gruyere factory just down the hill the raclette was superb. However, the service was poor. The table and air were crowded with flies, and the waitress refused to open a window, saying that it was locked. So we killed the flies throughout the course of the dinner with rolled up napkins, and they collected on the floor near our feet. When asked what one of the dishes contained, the waitress listed the ingredients, neglected to say that it contained pork. When another waitress brought it to the table and we explained that we couldn't eat pork and had to send it back, the main waitress came charging out to reprimand us for not explaining that we had some veget...
Terrible service and mediocre food! We, a family of 4 decided to wrap up our 2 week long vacation in Switzerland with one last Swiss meal at this restaurant and that was the worst decision of the entire vacation! We ordered one small plate (appetizer), and 2 meals between the 4 of us. Hearing this, the hostess loudly exclaimed her displeasure (in French) towards our plan of sharing meals. We were wondering still if she was just being rude or was genuinely not well, until we got our check with extra charges for 10 CHF per person for sharing the food!! Try any other lovely restaurants, and make better memories!
After the cheese factory and the castle we had lunch here. We chose a charcuterie platter of mainly meats, a small salad and then the cheese fondue. Absolutely fabulous and very generous servings (probably enough for three). Helpful server and nice and clean restrooms. Tip ask for a table on the terrace out the back overlooking the ramparts rather than an inside table or a table out the front in the town.
Among many other restaurants down the main (only) high street. Been to most now over the years the Rempart was as good as any. Thought the internal decot needed some TLC but lunch was fine. We had a very nice 3 types of Quiche which was really great full of rich cheesey flavour. Also excellent desserts great views from back of restaurant over the remparts., Recommend it. There are traditional dishes based on cheese like fondue and raclette and other variety of dishes with it. There are also a lot of regular variants like soups, pasta, meat and fish dishes, salads. The restaurant has good view on the valley from the one site (inside the restaurant) and seats on the terrace outside. There is wi-fi for guests. Staff is polite.
Friendly welcome, very beautiful view of Bulle La Tour de Trême from the veranda. Very good roast sausage from the region. Very good gourmet coffee. I recommend this restaurant.
Had the fondue for 1, the terrine, and salad. They were delicious. Great setting looking at people go by. The for desert had the merengue with Gruyère cream. Wow

Single Gruyère plate and salads were perfect for two of us. Salads very fresh and delicious. Service was wonderful price reasonable highly recommended
