we wanted to book this restaraunt 2 years ago at the first visit of Aigues-Mortes after we received a recommendation from our renter. we didn't make it back then, but this time we reserved one table on our first night. Although the summer was not too high, we have. a table in the inner (log fireburn, very cozy) cost. the manager and the waitress have no English, we have medium (for poor) franzosen, but my understanding was that the restaurant would not be open inside, only on the terrace (even if the tables were set) safe, all guests were outside. the terrace is attractiv (see photo,) and the restaurant was quite busy if not full. whether it was our limited french or not (we try to chat in F...

We had a relaxed lunch with artichaux et aubergines as starters, queue du lotte and tarte aux abricots, with a nice glass of vin rose. It was a hot day, but the shady court made lunchtime very comfortable. Maybe not the cheapest spot or best...value, but fair value for fresh and good lunch. If you are looking for the big steaks, this is probably not the best location go to the main square for the fast and good value tourist food. This place is more refined food yet simple, with good and obviously fresh ingredients. The dishes were small yet absolutely enough for a hot summer lunch. Service was not bad and friendly, though not overly welcoming. Referring to other comments here: There were als...

30 years ago I visited this historic walled city on a balmy summer evening after reading a book of days, which was originally set here prior to traveling in the near east. the backwards to somewhere can be a disappointment, but this historic city is one. second look worth when they avoid the obvious tourist falling from cheap souvenirs and fast restaurants. before lunch they take the time to visit the old church near the main square. while there were no ritters visible in armores, a visit to this historic church transports them back in time and their fantasy can run wild. then drive to the restaurant les templiers aigues mortes to the relaxing lunch. we visited outside the main season, servi...

We spotted this restaurant whilst exploring Aigue Mortes and went in for lunch. This courtyard is very pleasant and relaxing with a few trees to shelter from the intense heat. Service was low key and efficient. I particularly enjoyed a cold tomato soup which was...full of flavour.my husband had some very nice fish and I had small stuffed vegetables. The food was simple but freshly prepared and we had a lovely lunch there.
