A colleague and I, both 64, work in Basel and spend the weekends when we don't fly home to our families exploring. We decided at short notice to drive from St Louis to Bessancon by the direct route. The only large village/small town on the route is St Hippolyte. Best to do the route in this direction.We parked in the town square and noticed this restaurant because of a row of very expensive motorbikes parked outside. This is a good sign in this area. The entrance looked dark and empty inside, but being 12:15 on a French Sunday we decided to risk it or starve. We got a very pleasant surprise. we drove into the small village and decided to stay in the hotel. okay room and excellent price. we asked ourselves about the village, had a drink in the local bar then back to dinner in the restaurant. excellent eating, but somewhat overpriced. we have breakfast in the morning and in the morning. I don't eat a bit so that the participant got me a teller cheese to breakfast. very nice staff and we will recommend it to other traveling.
