This was our first time visiting. Atmosphere was casual and relaxed. Friendly staff, prompt service. I had the stuffed Yorkshire pudding. Dinner was good, but it was a very small menu, only a few items, no limited vegan options, (there was I think one option) at this time. The overall portion size was small in relation to the price. (Teaspoon of mushy peas on my plate. It was so tiny, I thought at first it was wasabi) but that's not uncommon these days. We were still hungry after dinner and drinks, and wanted dessert, but ended up going elsewhere to get it. I don't enjoy beer, so there were limited drink options for me. I go out very rarely, so was hoping for something sort of fancy to drink...
If you are looking for an authentic Scottish pub in Fergus, I can't say this is it. While the atmosphere is nice, and the patio in the back is nice on a sunny day, the food selection is more roadhouse than Pub fare. I.E. They have taco' salads, nachos, and quesadilla. Now there are Scotch eggs and bangers and mash to be fair but pub fair is limited. I will say the food is good. The draft drinks are good, although I wish they would turn down the temperature a little more to make the beer ice cold. Server was really nice. Overall a good place for a drink and some light food but not really a Scottish pub. Prices are reasonable.
Leslie Public House is a new pub in Fergus that offers a lovely patio overlooking Templin Gardens. Owned by Tyson, who cooks the food, and Rosa, who makes guests feel welcome and keeps their glasses full. The menu features a variety of savory dishes and a good selection of liquor and beer. On Wednesday evenings, guests can enjoy Kristin's Karaoke show with a large database of songs to choose from. The staff at Leslie's are friendly and accommodating, ensuring a satisfying dining experience. Don't miss out on a visit to this charming pub.
From the friendly welcome to the fond farewell this was a great experience. The cosy pub has been nicely redecorated and is an improvement on the previous incarnation. A wonderful selection of local craft beers as well as some classic imports. Then there is the food. I had the shepherds pie which was outstanding and my wife had the scotch eggs which were delicious. A little sharing and we were both convinced that this is great food. Simple menu extremely well done. We'll be back! Book a table now
For Patti and I this was our third visit to the Leslie Public House but the first with their new menu. All we can say is "amazing". I has the Stuffed Yorkshire Pudding with a salad and it was great. Patti and I shared the Scottish Egg appy and what can I say, just so very, very good. Rosa and Tyson are excellent hosts. We cannot wait for the warm summer nights and a spot on the patio. A summer destination for sure.
We have frequented the Leslie Public House since it opened. Initially, it was quite good, but the food is now very mediocre. It is this inconsistency that has caused us not to go anymore.i think they have a variety of different chefs working there and that is the main issue with consistency. Really too bad, I was hoping that it was a place we could frequent on a regular basis.
We had a family birthday party at this fun little pub. We were out on the back patio where the sun was shining and the view of the park and the river was special. The food and service were exceptional and everyone had a great time.

The ambiance is excellent, but the food is just average. The wide variety of beer options is a definite plus. We had an enjoyable time during the karaoke night we attended.
