My wife and I acclaim Guide Michelin's judgement of this restaurant. It's simple and straightforward, but very good. And prices are very, very reasonable. Although the restaurant features several Flemish specialties such as croquettes with shrimps, "potjesvlees" (literally, meat prepared in a pot; a local treat consisting of a mix of minced rabbit, chicken and veal meat to which a touch of lemon juice has been added), you may also stay with the French favorites. The wine list is simple but very good, and service a bit at a distance in the beginning, but very friendly throughout.

Just joking, but indeed, this is way beyond normal routes for most people. But if you end up in that part of the world, looking at WW2 memorials, worth eating in this beautifully restored butcher shop. Great local food, friendly, event hough somewhat slow, service, but all in good humour. A Bib Gourmand from Michelin means something! Try the local specialities.

Second visit here and a fine lunch with flamiche and potje vleesh with draft Hommelbier. Don't understand some of the complaints from previous reviews about portion sizes: don't really come here to eat the lettuce but to enjoy specialities from Flanders. Good value too - and a smiling and welcoming patronne.

What a find. A mix between a bar and a restaurant. All locals, no tourists like us, which is a good sign! Food was of a very high standard and very reasonably priced. We had mussells and pork fillet in Calvados. 2 course meal with wine for 2 was €40
