delicious and original French pastries, a hidden gem. they can miss the entrance to this small salon de tea on the way to the more striking restaurants and caffes in the neighboring ramparts market, but l’Etoile is a hidden gem. with amazing French pastries and desserts. they can play it with the croissants, pain au chocolate and quiches safe. but I would recommend to be more adventurous and the deremets, the mini-pies covered with layers of amazing aromes surrounded by mousse and shiny glaze and fruits. multi-layered color and taste experience in debt-free size. if they try the “white gold” with fresh celestials and the extraordinary “La ronde-Gianduia” they will not be disappointed. not to...

An hidden gem in Edinburg that you don't want to miss. This little cafe next to the Grassmarket is just amazing. I had the opportunity to try various cakes and have breakfast nearly every day of vacation. I specifically appreciate the attention to every little details. The quality of food was also superior, you definitely don't want to miss it. I special note for the staff that is extremely friendly and remembered all my personal tastes across multiple days. If I'll visit Edinburg again, this is definitely on top of my list.

after a burgtour broke in here. warm reception and both owners and waiters were very nice. coffee was good, but was tar. formidable! we had a celestial and a chocolate hazelnut. both were amazing! very relaxed atmosphere where you can just sit back and enjoy a coffee and a tasty bite.

absolutely loved the complicated bäcks here! They are all made too home and not too sweet. we went back in two days and would have gone back if we hadn't left edinburgh! the prices were also very reasonable. highly recommended!
