We reserved for another time and brought two other good friends with us who had never dined there before. We were greeted on our arrival by the hostess as if we were family. The restaurant was full with customers, but not over booked, as to squeeze in more tables. The owner respects his guest more than making that extra buck, because for him as owner, and Head Chef it is more important quality than quantity. The atmosphere was pleasant with the soft music of Italian tenors singing in the background. After being seated for only five minutes the waitress uncorked our bottles of wine and poured a cup of icy water and brought warm buns of bread, then were asked if we wanted the menu or wait a li...
We brought our daughter and son-in-law to L'excellence to celebrate his birthday. This was our third visit to the restaurant where we are able to bring our own wine. The food was incredibly delicious and the service was exceptional. The restaurant was fully booked, as it has been during our previous visits, so be sure to make a reservation ahead of time. The menu is nicely presented and the prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. Overall, it was a great experience with good food and a friendly atmosphere. Despite the noise level increasing as the restaurant fills up, it wouldn't deter us from returning. We highly recommend this restaurant for any kind of celebration.
We dined at this restaurant last night and enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere and service. The Italian menu was not very extensive, but I opted for the table d'hôte which included a seafood soup that was just okay, followed by Tagliatelle with seafood that was decent but not exceptional. The Cannoli dessert was delicious. Unfortunately, I started experiencing severe cramps and digestive issues a few hours later, which I suspect was due to the seafood dish as I was the only one who had it and became ill. My wife had the Veal which was tasty but overly oily. Despite the enjoyable evening, I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.
What a dinner experience!!! Fantastic is all I can say. I had the peppercorn steak and if was the best I've had, ever..... The owner is Vietnamese and he spent 10 years Italy learning his craft. The other dishes were duck, just great, and veal, melted in your mouth. Also escargot, that was fried in a pastry, wow, would I go again? YES and take friends.If you are in Granby, go there tonight, if you are near Granby or passing by go there, make a stop, you won't be disappointed, and you will go again. Book a table now
Great ambiance,BYOB ,decor is minimal,lighting and seat arrangement comfortable and cozy but not high quality(tables are small and wobble,chairs are ok, nice table setting but paper knapkins). Friday evening that we went was not full so service was good.Very friendly hostess(bilingual).Portions are sufficient, good flavor but nothing outstanding(chicken escalope,veal parmagenni), prices are a bit steep i guess to make up for lack of alcohol sold,plate average 17$ to 22$.I will go back periodically
We enjoy the food and also the owner who is a really friendly chef with the customers. The service is very good, and the food is always hot and very tasteful. You can bring your own wine with you , try the steak. A place you must try when in Granby, tell them Don sent you, enjoy.
I really enjoyed their Picata dish and found the service to be excellent, although the restaurant is a bit dark inside. They also allow you to bring your own wine or beer. I highly recommend trying their feuilleté d'escargot as well, it's delicious!
We ate here on a Friday night and we could have been at an Italian bring your own wine in Montreal. The food was good and was good value for money. It was busy with a good ambiance. Friendly owner and staff. Would come here again. Book a table now
