On our final day in Franche Comte we decided to have lunch at L 'Exquis. As it was a Sunday we made a reservation and were placed at a table next to the river. A great start. Although the restaurant was full t waitress was quickly at our table to take an order for drinks at the same time bringing a large bottle of chilled water. By the time the drinks arrived we were ready to order and the waiting time for the food to arrive indicated fresh preparation but was not overlong. The smoked trout was incredible as were the fried gougons of trout. Throughout our meal the service was pleasant and friendly.
