Came here on Friday for brekkie, after missing out on Wednesday; they are only open for 3 days. Love the retro chic appearance of this café and plenty of options to dine outside under the verandah. But the morning was chilled so went inside. The barrister welcomed everyone one with a cheery good morning, which is so rare these days. I ordered a long Mac topped up and the crispy chicken waffles with avocado, bacon and maple. My coffee was nice and hot, well flavoured and came in a retro coffee cup with retro spoon. our little local. from down the road on manning. very quirky vintage-esque little cafe. always quite busy nowadays and only open weekends unfortunately. menu is simple and small, but enough. sometimes less is more. my pumpkin dukkah eggs on toast.. just what i need this sunday morning!
We ordered eggs Florentine, a BLT, and food for the kids. The kids enjoyed their large mango passion fruit drink. The eggs were cooked perfectly, with the yolks neither too hard nor too runny. The atmosphere was relaxed and unpretentious.
Every time I pop in for takeaway coffee the service is quick and friendly with a perfect cup for a coffee snob like me. Good healthy almond milk options too. And the cute vintage style and old style tea cups for diners is a nice touch.
