First let me say how much I loved this place! And will be back. But I hate when specials are only available with alcohol, as I usually can't indulge. We went specifically for the buck a shuck special and were told we have to pay full price as we weren't having alcoholic drinks. Big dissapointment and almost left, but decided to stay and were happy we did! We shared a roasted vegetable platter that was full of many different roasted veggies, with some different sauces topping them. Really really good. We ordered the mussels, which my dinner companion had never tried and they were a big success too! At this point our server came over to tell us she was wrong and we could indeed have the oyster'...

We arrived without a reservation but they seated us at the raw bar next to where the food was being prepared , I was at first very disappointed but it turned out to be a wonderful experience. The chef was pleasant and engaging and he shared his favourites and recommendations . We started with the harvest board , the patatas bravas and the chicken lollipops all 3 were phenomenal , after moving to an open table we sampled the lamb croquettes , the mussels , the jerk ribs and the Portuguese chicken . The lamb croquettes were so delicious we ordered more , the mussels were also really good and the jerk ribs were maybe the best ribs we gave ever had . The only disappointing dish was the Portugues...
My family took me to the Lil' Brew Hops on Saturday, July 8 for my birthday. The restaurant specializes in small plates. There were 5 adults, plus a 28 month old toddler (grandson) and a 10 week old baby (newest grandson).Overall the experience was very good. The 5 adults shared 10 plates including meat, vegetables, pasta and seafood. The raw oysters were excellent, and the lamb pasta was OK. The service was spectacular and my oldest grandson had a great time. All of us would highly recommend the restaurant and will return again to Lil' Brew Hops.
I would recommend this place to anyone. We went once for an early dinner with our 9 year old daughter, and once just the two of us for date night. We really love the tapas style concept. On our last visit, we opted for oysters (excellent) to start, and we both had the tasting menu. We were amazed with every dish, and found it to be a great value for $40 per person. Our meal comprised of the charcuterie board, parsnip fries, smoked chicken legs, duck breast and the grilled squid. We will definitely be going back soon. Book a table now
Really enjoyable dinner. We were looking for a not too heavy meal, and this was perfect. Meat/ cheese board was a nice start, squid excellent, patatas bravas very yummy, ribs also great. "Wine Wednesday" is a good deal (house wine by the glass 1/2 off at $6 and some wines by the bottle 1/2 off). Service was attentive and friendly. Will definitely return.
Been there twice once with my family. The menu is different but very interesting.Good choices for drink. Courteous staff and very clean facility.Try the harvest board it's amazing.Chicken balls on stick was good choice for kids however little ones don't have much of other choices.Excellent jerk ribs.
I visited Lil Brew Hops for the first time this year with a few friends and had a good experience. The food was delicious but took awhile to come out. The service was ok too, but could have checked on our table more. The atmosphere was relaxed but picked up later in the night
No need to drive all the way downtown and pay expensive parking for perfectly made cocktails. I heard from other customers the food is also excellent. This is one place I will be returning to again and again. Book a table now
We ordered 4 - 5 different plates, and everything we had was fantastic. Beer was great, atmosphere was great, and the service was great. knowledgeable about each dish and what we could expect.
4 of us shared the chefs choice menu and had more food then we could finish. Great way to try lots of plates. Nice to see a neat spot in town. Loved the oysters!

"The food was good, hot and amazing. Best kimchi ever, right amount of sourness and spiciness. The owner was great, friendly and respectful, since the servers were too busy to focus on taking care of tables, he came and took care of us well."
