Lila Cafe is a cozy restaurant with a bar. The service could have been improved as the server seemed annoyed when asked about the food. Despite not being very busy for a Saturday evening, it took 40 minutes for our one entree and one appetizer to be served. Unfortunately, the appetizer was greasy and inedible. The entrees were missing key ingredients like white rice or rice and peas, which is why we ordered the appetizer. The drinks were also not up to par. Overall, we are unlikely to dine at this restaurant again.
I absolutely adored everything about this restaurant. From the warm welcome we received at the door to the delightful last bite of dinner, it was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend trying the spicy empanada, shrimp and plantains, jerk chicken, fried chicken, and stir fries. Every single person in our group of six was thrilled with their meal.
I had the Marinated Steak and it juicy and delicious. The salad was bright and fresh. The Mac n Cheese was like an otherworldly experience. I asked what was in it that gave it such a unique taste. I got the answer that I expected, Love . So do yourselves a favor and check them out. Get a heaping helping of Love . I know I will be back.

Great food and great customer service. I ordered the Salmon with mango salsa and pepper shrimp with plantains. Both dishes were cooked and seasoned to perfection!!
