No wonder it’s #1 in Bédoin. The pebble stone terrace is charming, the service is excellent and the food is superb. At just €21 for an Entrée/Plat, plus €5.50 for a glass of lovely local Mazan Rouge €2,80 for a café, it is an incredible bargain for that kind of quality. Unexpectedly, it started with a little dish of pitted black oily olives and a small piece of bread, followed by an Amuse Bouche of a chilled Mushroom Velouté with a tiny quiche-like accompaniment. The best restaurant meal of our two week stay. The 38€ menu is attractive and sensible and the terrace was delightfully French, full and bustling. The four of us enjoyed everything (the seafood/fish starter being particularly good, the service was efficient and friendly (they do work hard! . We were staying at the nearby Hotel Crillon le Brave and needed a dinner reservation for one night. The concierge recommended Lily et Paul and made a reservation for us. We sat outside in the garden and were surrounded by locals always a good sign. The food was very good and seasonal. Our young waitress was quite sweet, but keep in mind that I speak fluent French so that may have made things easier for us. It is an excellent value for the money. If you are in the area, I would recommend it but try to get your hotel to reserve you a table!
Had two excellent meals. Walked in on the off chance for lunch and had three fabulous courses and wine from the ‘menu of the day’. Courgette mousse with side salad and chorizo, duck breast with porcini mushroom jus and veg, fresh fruit salad with verbena syrup. Enjoyed it so much booked for Sunday lunch. This was the a la carte menu which was wonderful. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable, accommodated the two of us with our dog outside in the covered courtyard. What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
