This meal was perhaps the most amazing of our 8 days in Nova Scotia--what a surprise to find such vegan excellence outside of a major city! While the menu is short, they have a vegan appetizer and entree and vegan bar snacks, and when we were there they were serving a special vegan fish and chips appetizer made from lion's mane mushrooms. Plus two of the three desserts were vegan (they don't say so on the menu, but told us because they surmised based on our order that this is what we'd want). 2 stars for vegan options and for decent service. minus the other 3 stars for terrible food quality. my 2 friends, hubby and I strolled lunenburg and had heard good dinge about lincoln street foods and wanted to try. first, 14 dollar for the vegan fish and chips and other items on the menu just as expensive, but I am ready to pay this price when eating is amazing. the service was good and very fast. directly the 3 of us who ordered the fish were hit by the small portion. they make homemade chips and maybe gave us 10 overall. kartoffels are cheap, they are not a reason why you could not at least fill people on kartoffels. very strange hours. when I went, I ordered her veggie side salad because it was the only vegan option (I thought) and when I started eating, I realized that it had meat in it. I should have asked, but the description has not mentioned anything of meat in salat. I have no interest in going back when it is so expensive and there are so many better places to go in the opposite.
second night in the city, I wish I found this place in the first night. superb vegan options prepared by a genuine chef beautiful and artistically. appetizer, main corse and dessert, all vegan and all crumble. Don't miss them!
