We visited this restaurant last summer and enjoyed an excellent 'menu du jour' on the delightful terrace situated within the historic cloisters and decided that it was a restaurant worthy of a return; we were particularly impressed that an interesting vegetarian option for one of our party was no problem at all. We revisited for lunch in May 2016, weather was not so good so we ate in the spacious and well appointed interior. Great value menu again, good quality food and good service although we were disappointed that this time little effort was made to accommodate our vegetarian diner and only salad was offered as a vegetarian option. The first impression was good with a nice setting next to a cloister and an appetising menu Italian menu with a Gascony twist. The starter and sweet white wine to accompany the dish were delicious but we were not given any plates to eat in. Just napkins and bread. Then we waited 1 hour for our main course. After asking what time we should expect our main course, the bar waiter said he had misinformed his colleagues who thought we had been served. Finally dinner arrived but had been cooked in a hurry. Meat was burned outside and rare in middle. The Other dish was very oily. The food was average and roughly served on a chopping board. Got compensated for the wait with some free wine.
Living locally we have visited this restaurant around eight or so times since it opened a couple of years back. It used to be a cool location with an interesting menu and excellent service.Our last two visits - and we won't be going back again - showed just how much it has gone downhill. The menu has shrunk and is now very basic and the staff are nowhere near as efficient - everyone around had a long wait for each course.Basically all it is now is expensive but average food badly served in a cool location. Nowhere near enough positives.
The ambiance was nice, and i think that's the only nice thing about it. The food on the other hand was extremely deceiving. The choice of pasta is limited to only 4 dishes, 3 of which are only cream based. So i pick the penne all'arrabiata and pure disappointment the sauce had absolutely nothing to do with the dish just plain old tomato sauce something anbody could make themselves. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Lovely location and been a regular here for years. Last night we took some friends from the UK and the waiting staff ignored us even after we asked for the menus! Eventually ordered after an hour and they told us there was no pizza dough left, just enough for 3!!!There were 3 children and 3 adults. Later, we saw a large table of locals (25) all being served - pizzas!
First thing i must say is great service, always wins thumbs up and this place wins a thumbs up. Felt that we wee valued customers on our first visit, lovely setting sat outside overlooking parts of the old monastery.Food very good, prices also very good. Ambience great. Would i go back. Most defiantly.
We have been here 5 times now and every time has been great. I love the outside areas, the cooking over the coals and the wonderful mist sprays. The Cloisters are so beautiful, I live here it makes me feel on holiday outside. The inside is interesting too. Love it....
Chose the lunch menu, linguini with geziers a local twist on Italian food. Was delicious. Dessert of chocolate mousse very fast too. The atmosphere is busy and quite loud. The terrace outside is fab in the summer. The service was friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful restaurant in a converted monastery. The food lived up to the ambiance.lunchtime menu excellent value and of a high quality. Staff warm and friendly. Nothing to dislike.
