When I checked out, I inquired about the best way to prepare the dumplings—whether boiling them was the right method. To my astonishment, she asked if I was stupid. I was taken aback, and her rudeness only escalated from there. I decided to forget about the dumplings and left the store empty-handed. It felt almost surreal. As I walked out, she offered a halfhearted apology, saying, “I’m sorry—sometimes my face is rude.” Maybe she was having a bad day or didn't take a liking to me for some reason. Regardless, I left feeling distraught and shocked, especially given that a small deli—one that I typically adore—would insult a customer for simply asking a question.

I've been visiting the farm stand in the parking lot for the past year, but this year I decided to stop by and check out Little Europe Deli. I grew up with Slovak home cooking, and this place really brings me back to my childhood. Their take-home dinners, like Svickova and beef in dill gravy, are spot on and remind me of what my mom used to make. The fancy pastries are delightful and nearly sinful in their deliciousness. I'm enjoying exploring their menu and loving every moment of it. If you're looking for authentic Bohemian takeout, be sure to give them a try!

This is a fantastic spot for Slovak and Czech cuisine, as well as snacks. The cakes and ready-to-eat meals are truly authentic. The menu varies, and the prices for soda and treats are quite reasonable. Without a doubt, it's the best place for Czechoslovak food in the Chicagoland area.

Called ahead, Thanksgiving week and although busy, they agreed to set aside a fresh struddle for me to pick up for a family party. GREAT service, and delicious food. Best strudel!

You should change the hours. It’s pretty rude people drive 1 hour to the store just to figure out you’re closed. You just lost 2 customers. This is America. Customers go first !

Fantastic prepared meals and baked goods. I bought a loaf of their rye bread, which was the best I've ever had.
