So it's Saturday afternoon and I am wandering down Potts Point when I come across a sign for "Happy Hour"" dumpling and beer at LL wine and dine. I speak to a guy at the front the restaurant and he shows me to my seat. The waitress brings the menu and when she comes back I ask her what beers are Included in the Happy hour. She shows me a list on the menu. There is a clearly marked "Dumpling section" on the menu so I proceed to order an $18 prawn and pork dumplings (there are only 3 choice on the menu). I didn't know what to expect before I got there especially when this was a pre-paid dinner on Groupon. However, I must say I am pleasantly pleased with the service as well as the food (plus portion). As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the lovely waiter and was told that we could order straight from the menu except pay $3 extra for the beef or seafood dish. For entree, we ordered the white bait and the beef cheeks and main, we ordered the ko pau chicken as well as the mushroom dish. All were tasty and big portions... except I am not a fan of mushroom so can't comment. We had rice and a bottle of wine too! All came to $3 extra! Am I thrilled? Yes! I would definitely come back and sugges...
Its winter I know and usually you would choose a dining experience in the warm and cosy. We sat out side with the fresh air, rugs provided, but not needed and heaters. Perhaps they need more of them, but the friendly cosy service and exceptional food made it a great dining experience. Its quirky in the layout...has a history in the location which all adds to a great lunch or dinner. It impressed us with the quality. New owners congratulations.
We came on a Groupon voucher and the food was delicious and friendly staff and good value. High recommend the beef cheeks and mussamen lamb popcorn. The decor is very Asian eccentric and red ambients. I was surprised by some of the negative reviews as the staff was friendly, and the food was great too. If you came and paid full price, $16 for a serving of dumpling is a little pricey but using Groupon, it was value for money and large servings.

We came here on a whim for our Anniversary Dinner, and are so happy with our choice. Nice ambience, friendly and attentive staff, and excellent, fresh food prepared well and with a modern twist. Even enjoyed some fun banter with other diners too. Would highly recommend it. Will definitely be back again, and looking forward to trying the cocktails and yum cha items too next time.
It is reasonably priced at $30, however the food is not all that good - a horrible bowl of peas, too many steamed things, strange chicken dish, BBQ pork so small serving - filling but leaves a ,lot to be desired.
Great cafe in Llankelly Place off Macleay Street. Pleasant service and very nice crab and tofu. The barramundi was excellent. Pleasant evening. Also good wine list.
