After a long day house hunting in rural Wales we came across a hidden little gem Lloyds Fish Chip Shop The food was absolutely delicious I can honestly say the fresh quality fish was the best we’d ever tasted I ordered a small cod chips and peas but the fish was much bigger than I’d expected So not only was the quality fantastic but the value was too If your ever fortunate to discover Lloyds I’d definitely recommend you indulge yourselves The long family history of this unique business is something they pride themselves on and is well worth a visit so much so we’re planning on returning so we can dine in their restaurant

I got in there at 1925hr tonight when there were a couple of people waiting. The young woman shouted over her shoulder at me that they only had what was already cooked, without even looking around. So, we had a choice of two battered sausages, a battered fish cake or nothing. We chose the latter. If, as a business, they publish that they are open until 1930hrs (which is a ridiculously early time for a chip shop to close anyway) the least they could do is actually cook food and serve customers until that time. Poor service, poor attitude, poor manners.

The worst meal I’ve ever had. I had fish chips and mushy peas. The fish was soggy, the peas had obviously been watered down and were just swimming in flavourless juice and the chips were not freshly cooked, they’d been sitting there a good while to the point of dehydration…. It’s been about 3 years since I’ve had Lloyds and my god it’s gone so far down hill. It used to be a decent meal. Don’t waste money there!! Book a table now

Ordered fish, chips, mushy peas and scampi. Two of the scampi were the same size as my thumb nail, asked for extra salt and vinger in the special instructions and there was literally none. Nobody even tried the mushy peas as it was literally a translucent soup with crushed green peas in it. Disappointed

Definitely overpriced for what you get. It's a great shame the other chip shop in Lampeter closed down.
