"The stalls that are open in the evenings are something worth seeing, stroll by and take a good look at each one. From the one of a kind hand crafted ear rings to colourful scarves there is plenty of choice for everyone highly recommend, plus the added bonus of surprisingly comfortable concrete seats to rest on or restaurants for a snack or meal."

We thouroughly enjoyed our stay in Santa Susanna, its a lovely town which comes alive at night wonderfully for families with stalls, bike carts for hire and a fair. During our trip we made great use of the trains which run regularly through Santa Susanna and are very reasonably priced. It is very well placed if you wish to explore more of the coast during your stay. A return to barcelona was under 10 euros but we purchased the Turístic Bus ticket (hop on hop off style busses) for 27 Euros meaning we didn't pay for the train this was also a great way to see a lot of barcelona in a short space of time the easiest place to pick up the bus from the train is probably the station at Placa De Catal...

Santa Susana is a purpose built resort with a wide promenade between the hotels/shops/bars/restaurants and the road and railway line. There are a few hotels on the beach but most line the promenade and the beach is reached via a subway under the railway line. There are miles and miles of beach but it is all shingle and very unpleasant to walk on. The resort has a wide, spacious feel and there are many shops to stroll around, many selling well known brands, and lots of bars and restaurants to choose from, although the menus don't vary much from place to place and cater more for a variety of foreign tourists rather than traditional Spanish cuisine. The Dofijet boats leave daily from the Hotel...

Santa Susanna has something for all ages. There are plenty of cafes bars along the lovely promenade. In the evening, this has numerous stalls with souvenirs, hair brading etc.During the day there are 2 land trains. One painted blue yellow, does a tour of the town, the other, brown yellow goes right to the top of the town on the hillside, where you can get some wonderful panoramic views.I recommend the brown /yellow one The train station is very accessible to all the hotels tickets can be bought at the information bureau opposite. It takes 1 1/4 hours to Barcellona. The beach is quite nice, but it is fine shale not sand. Every Tuesday, the road running parallel to the railway is closed there is a marve...

A lovely town with a lot of bars and restaurants. A lot of fun things to do for all ages. Santa Susanna is has nice beach (but it really isn 't a sandy beach, more fine gravel) and the sea was a bit rough when we visited. The strip really comes alive in the evenings with a lot of live music shows, and you can ride a 'family cycle ' for 4! The beach is clean and the usual hire your beach umbrella etc. Had a great back massage for €5, too. Perfect for a day visit to Barcelona. A nice relaxing holiday.
