To start we ordered a beer a cocktail. While waiting for the drinks another waitress asked if waitress came by to ask if we wanted to order drinks or food. We said we'd already ordered drinks. After close to 10 minutes the original waitress came back to say that the cocktail I ordered wasn't available because the machine that dispenses the lemonade was broken (unexpected things happen). I ordered something else she asked my husband if he'd like something. He reminded her he'd already ordered a beer...things didn't get better after that. It took a while to order our food. A family 3 next to us were seated shortly before us finished their 3-course meals even before our appetizer was delivered....
We have dined at Locando Ravello in Lafayette multiple times and have always had a great experience. Last Friday, we decided to try the Danville location before a concert at the Danville Theater. Two of us ordered the strozapreti, one had linguine with seafood, and we also tried the ensalata Vesuvio. The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent as well. I highly recommend it!
Great spot physically. However our waiter was very inexperienced. Waited over long for our drinks and food. We seemed to be an afterthought for service. Salad advertised goat cheese and beets but when it came, there was less than a tablespoon of cheese and two slices of beet and one lone olive beside a mound of greens. Will be exploring other venues for lunch in the future.
Fantastic dining experience! While parking can be a bit tricky, the friendly staff and quick service make it worth the effort. Highly recommended!
