The food at Loch Fyne is always delicious. Last night when we went there, there were lots of things off the menu the result of a busy Bank Holiday weekend, we were told. Arguably a long-established business like this, where dining has to be ore-booked, might have anticipated this, and ordered a bit more in advance (there’s another Bank Holiday day to go today). But I appreciate also they weren’t expecting any deliveries over the weekend and sea-food has to be fresh…. But the staff were very helpful in rustling up alternatives, and we managed to have a lovely evening. Really enjoyed dinner at loch fyne we shared cocktails and oysters to start with which were delicious followed by the fishmonger’s Hake and Whole Sea Bass. Both were really well cooked and tasty, however more bones in the hake than I would have expected from a fillet. Staff were very helpful and attentive. For us it was quite an expensive meal out but for good seafood i think it’s reasonably good value. Would definitely return!
I am personally not a seafood fan, but my oncle insisted that we eat here as it “the best place to eat in cambridge”. I'm so happy that I listened to my uncle and we ate there because it's a favorite now! we had scallops and king prawn as appetizers, then ordered sea eating grill, sea bass and king prawn masala as main. we had a cream broth. all tasted amazing! I'm going back to my next trip to cambridge!
we were really impressed with eating. for a chain' is the offer, both in quality and in variety, far above expectations. the service is also first class, the manager is a very open and friendly guy. who really like to be in touch with people, both with his customers and with his personal.

THERE WERE A REAT MANY ITEMS CROSSED OUT ON THE MENU/UNAVAILABLE. THIS, WE WERE TOLD, WAS DUE TO DELIVERY ISSUES. DISAPPOINTING, BUT NOT YHE END OF THE WORLD. THE FOOD WE DOD ORDER WAS GOOD. E WERE AMONG THE VERY FEW DINERS WHILE WE AERE THERE. THIS CREATES A NON-ATMOSPHERE.
beautiful restaurant and delicious food with a lot of choice. the hole fyne house white wine went really well with our main course of the pan fried hakefilet. when it was a sunny day, we sat outside in the courtyard, which made it special. we're coming back.
Due to Covid 19, we haven't visited LF for a couple of years, but as we are locals, we will definitely come again and welcome family and friends too. The new decor is very nice and stylish. The food amazing and lovely staff. Ten out of ten.
totally ignored by employees when we arrived that started a bad experience. slow service, orders mixed and items omitted. the main problem was grilled plaice, which was hotter than hades and therefore well overcooked.

Cosy, great service, lovely atmosphere and lovely food. A really ambient, welcoming place. Thoroughly enjoyed taking my wife there for her birthday celebration meal.
A comfortable well laid out restaurant , conveniently located in town. Good food and value for the well judged portions. Excellent service from the friendly staff.
