Lock House Tea Rooms

Stopped by on one of our canal walks (slowly walking all 2000 miles of them). Trent Lock and the Erewash are lovey and make for a great walk. This is a perfect tea shop. We had a couple of cups of tea and two excellent...sausage cobs and our Jack Russell had her own sausage and kibble. The tea was in Royal Albert crockery, with hot water and plenty of milk in the jug. Ideal. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our brunch. Very friendly owners, great views. Will definitely call in again next time we are here.

When I said Rabbit stew I mean its there for the asking.. Not for me Another thing there is Taxidermy in there again not for me .. I didn't know until we orderd they have C C T V but you have to look...for it.. A good point is there is NO music ...we'll when we went there wasn't.. So its a good place to go WARNING the country road the Leeds to Trent lock is very narrow I mean very narrow indeed you can't park out side unless you go by boat ..

I and my husband came here before we took a walk on the canal. sat down lady came over taking our order ordered 2 drinks and a roasted tee cake and 2 crumble drinks came very fast beautiful tassen and saucer with the milkshake...who very good eating came very hot sat in the sun watching the world go through a beautiful little juwel toilets and tee room very clean will come back

Travelling on the canals, stopped at this lovely tea room. Menu was good, food excellent and staff very friendly. We will definitely be back

Very traditional... Owner could be more smiley, a bit curt. A tea shop should have brilliant scones... They weren't unfortunately.
