we visited the sundeck restaurant for lunch yesterday as family of 4. we had made 14 clock reservations, but when we had the dame with the clip board had no details of us. At any rate, after about 5 minutes they managed to get us a table. the setting, outlook and mood is amazing. beautiful cozy furniture and beautiful relaxed music. eating when it arrived was also very tasty, good quality and beautifully presented. the rindburger was delicious! but the massive downfall was the total chaos of the coworkers there. they were pleasant, but there was no system or organization. they all ran around like headless chickens. Normally, waiters are assigned certain tables, but here it seemed no such sys...
Terrible food, what else is left to say? I ordered sashimi and the lamb chops medium rare (as they should always be had)... The lamb chops came well done with French fries from a bag. The sashimi was pretty bad as well. My wife ordered...lentil soup (which was returned), octopus carpaccio, and a fish dish. The fish was tasteless, the lentil soup was inedible and the carpaccio tasted fishy. None of these items were tasty nor deserving of being served in a restaurant of this category. The service was mediocre. We had also spaghetti and jamon serrano for lunch. That should've been a clue to us to go elsewhere for dinner. Please see my other review regarding hotel.
Really fantastically beautiful location. We had lunch then sledged. Food was good but the service awful. 40 minutes to get drinks over an hour for food and it was not that busy ! But the view and the location are almost magical and we could...forgive the terrible but friendly service. Our friends from Australia said it was on if the best days if their life. Terrace closes at 5pm which is completely crazy and the don't sell mulled wine.....people would by the mulled Wine
We ate here while staying at El Lodge for our 25th Anniversary. The food was delicious with lots of choices and the service was excellent. We were treated to a surprise Anniversary cake by the management, which was delicious and also a lovely touch. I...would be very surprised to find a better restaurant in Sierra Nevada. Nothing was too much trouble and the food was certainly 5 star, so we shall certainly return, many thanks!

we accidentally went the terrace to aguila by midday and decided to stop for lunch. a smart decision. an elegant lunch menu, perfect view over the mountain and good service made lunch an unforgettable experience. the prices are reasonable for what they get.
We spent an afternoon in the sun at their wonderful sun deck. It was extremely nice. The waiters had to much to do and were a bit disorganized, forgot our orders, but the lovely atmosphere made us forget about it.
the dinner is just fantastic. the quality of the food, the decorations and the service is very high. the hole taste was so delicious of everything we have. under our best gourmet experience we have tried.
have had breakfast , lunch and dinner in this restaurant and every meal has been of equally high quality. Staff remember your name and can't do enough to help Highly recommended

Lunch in April 16 with clients. Very slow service and discrete food. Very expensive. Value for money is not a good idea. Bar tender had no idea. Bad attitude towards clients.
the sun deck is a fantastic place for a break and lunch. very good view and excellent service from the employees of el lodge
