We travelled from Switzerland to Freiburg im Breisgau. We were hungry and decided for a stop in Bad Krozingen. We found the Restaurant Löwen and decided to try it out. Suprise! Very good food, excellent service, nice treatment for the dog which got a bowl...of water and a small bag with goodies. The lamb was excellent and the Spätzle fresh and handmade. And the price was again surprising. Very nice!
We had a great experience yesterday at Loewen. We parked meters from the restaurant for free. We were treated very nicely. Though the menus are all in German the waiter was polite and patient and walked with us through the entire order process. The...food came relatively fast and it was good. Large portions with a unique local taste.
Restaurant Löwen was excellent. My wife and me had the flank steak, which was excellent and the rest of the family had quite some different choices, which were also very tasty. The service was very good and friendly and the location is also quite nice....I can fully recommend this restaurant for dinner!
We were staying at a nearby hotel and chose to go to Loewen and enjoyed the small restaurant’s beergarten. We had the Wiener schnitzel which was fresh and homemade. We appreciated the friendly staff and quick service and will recommend the restaurant. Book a table now
My Schnitzel was fine, the fries that accompanied it were on McDonald's level. The service was friendly. Overall a decent yet unremarkable meal that I will probably forget very quickly. Not sure why the place is getting so many brilliant reviews.
Since we last visited a few years ago the place had been completely refurbished. But it has not lost its essential German warmth. We had a lovely meal of schnitzel with beer just wish they had rooms
